A.I.M. 2 Clan Wars
A.I.M. 2 is a sequel to the 2004 action-adventure game with RPG elements. As with the first part, the Russian company SkyRiver Studios is responsible for developing, which again takes players to a planet abandoned by humans
, Range-4.
A.I.M. 2 begins shortly after the events of its predecessor’s last mission. New opportunities have opened up ahead of the mechs, including more sectors for exploration. After the Reformation, the mechs themselves underwent considerable transformations. Many old clans have disappeared, and their goals and aspirations have gone into oblivion. Governments have taken over organizations commanded by fifth-generation mechs. Unfortunately, they could not get along with each other and so there was a war in which the goal was to completely destroy the enemy and gain
control over the raw materials.
Currently, all parties to the conflict are in a state of time equilibrium, because no one can gain the upper hand. Therefore, the Reckoners decide to find the first fifth generation mech. It is well known that this moss, being an incomparable warrior, can face even the strongest clans alone. Unfortunately, no one knows what happened to him or where he is now. As you can guess, the main goal of our adventure is to find him. Of course, as in the first part of the game, traveling around the vast world in already known vehicles with anti-gravity drives, we also perform a number of side quests commissioned
by independent heroes.
As you can see, the plot of the game is quite developed, and what to say a lot here, intriguing. But this is not the only novelty that the developers of the game wanted to present to the audience of their product. Compared to the first part, artificial intelligence algorithms have been improved, which, according to the assurances of developers, stand at the highest level, causing that mechs run by a computer almost match the “intelligence” of machines driven by the player. Another novelty is the opportunity to create your own organization, stand at the head of it and lead it to dominance over the rest of the population. We can occupy enemy bases and other buildings, as well as take control of entire
sectors of the planet.
If we are already at the sectors, then their number has been increased, thereby expanding the game world known from the previous part of the game. We also received 3 sectors on the surface of the planet and one underground (that is, we have a total of 12 sectors for exploration). There are also quite a few mini locations under the surface, where the events crucial to the plot take place. The social and economic system has also improved – we can now trade more materials, and thanks to a change in the approach to modernising our vehicle, virtually every element of it can be improved. There are new, exciting tasks and new criteria for judging the actions of the player, which, combined with the already mentioned social system, enable a non-forceful solution to the
problems posed before us.
